Growing up on Rixx, a planet that is more than a little hedonistic was quiet an experience. Though her parents were very conservative and tried to raise her so, they had more success with her sister. As a child Cynthia was always a very social and forward, a trait that she has kept throughout her life. She was always curious and usually did well in school, and was known to often play the Rixx version of "Cowboys and Indians." From her Vulcan grandfather, T'Sal, and her Betazoid grandfather, Patron, Cynthia inherited some psychic abilities, which both helped her to develop. She is easily able to converse telepathically with other Telepath's, to read others minds, and is also able to do a mind-meld, although it is very difficult for her.

Cynthia entered the Academy when she was 18, against the wishes of her parents, and decided she wanted to be a tactical officer, against the wishes of her entire family. Besides taking tactical courses, She made top marks in most of her classes, even though she may have spent a tad too much time out having fun, and graduated with the rank of Ensign, although her romantic involvement with one of the piloting instructors nearly caused her to have to retake the course. She was 22 then.

Her first assignment was to the USS Fearless, where she was promoted to Lieutenant (jg), for bravery in service. On a mission there Cynthia managed to destroy a Borg cube using the cubes own weapons. While she enjoyed the work and the people, Cynthia requested a transfer after three years because she felt she wasn't getting enough of a challenge. She was then transferred to the USS Penoble, where she served for two more years and was promoted to full Lieutenant. Two years later she once again asked for reassignment, this time because of a falling out with the ships counselor, who said that Cynthia's thoughts were not proper and she should be more careful over what she thought. This was after the counselor, who was 57, accidentally heard a private conversation between her son, who was 30, and Cynthia.

Cynthia, while an open person, is not promiscuous. She believes in emotional commitment in a relationship, but is willing to be friends if that isn't possible. She is a very open and vivacious person, and the only really quite thing she enjoys doing is reading. Her other hobbies include skating, small craft piloting, singing, and dancing. She is currently assigned to the USS Potomac.
