Aellie was dumped on Earth (San Fransisco) when she was approximately four years old. She lived in an orphanage her entire childhood and chose her name when she was about ten (she refused to take a surname). Her family history is unknown, yet she is predominantly human (all Hispanic- with the passion of the culture to show for it) and no less than 1/4 Vulcan (she has the ears and the mind to show for that). Throughout her childhood, she was constantly learning. She dreamt of a ticket off Earth to Vulcan in order to learn about her heritage and found that ticket in the Federation. She was accepted to the Academy and graduated with highest honors.
Aellie's first assignment was at the Federation Embassy on Vulcan, where she, basically, ran errands for the Ambassador in order to learn the craft. During her free time she studied all things Vulcan and mastered many psi techniques, including the mind-meld. After finding herself content with her success in learning about her Vulcan heritage, she realized that working as a go-between for both of her cultures sucked. So she studied operations and was hired as an Operations Officer for the USS Washington- her first assignment on a starship.
To many, Aellie seems a walking contradiction. She is an incredibly intuitive woman and relies on her intuition in her work. However intuitive, she is also extremely pragmatic and truly stoic. Her only two fears, left unchecked by her Vulcan heritage and attitude, are both commitment and abandonment. She already has a pure maternal instinct- surely from the time spent with the younger children at the orphanage- and one day hopes to mother a child... yet not until she learns about the univers, and in the process, herself.
Aellie is nearly fluent in Vulcan and fluent in Spanish. She actively seeks her parents/relatives, and is open to using any methods available to her. As a primary interest, she studies cultures. In her free time, she reads (anything and everything), works to find relatives, and studies languages. While truly introverted, she is amiable and keeps several close friends.
