K'T'Inga Class Battlecruiser:
"Guess who's coming to dinner..." - Chekov
Comprising the backbone of the Klingon fleet for nearly 225 years, there is no greater symbol of Klingon military might than the infamous K'T'Inga Battlecruiser. Succeeding the old D-7 variant, the version presented here was in service during the 2270's and '80s, and would later be replaced by yet another upgraded K'T'Inga in the early 2290s.
The reference to "battlecruiser" here is simply a descriptive term, and not indicative of the K'T'Inga's hull class, of which is a CA. The Klingons refer to ships like this as battlecruisers simply because they are cruisers that are built for battle.
