Welcome to One Small Step, a site dedicated to the relationship between Voyager's first officer and resident ex-Borg. I recently realized that there are a growing number of people writing C/7 fanfic, but that there are very few places to archive such material as most sites are relationship sensitive. Soooo...I decided to build this site. I hope to eventually house hundreds of C/7 stories, but for now there are only a few. I fell in love with the idea of C/7 when I saw the episode which is this site's namesake. Robert and Jeri (Chakotay and Seven) had such a chemistry and my mind began running what if scenarios. My first story "Understanding" was finished a few weeks later. I am now working on "Game Rules" (the first segment in a C/7 series) and a segment in my J/P Series "Foot Prints in the Sand". The story is entitled "A Walk in the Clouds".
Update: February 8, 2001-Sorry, the stories weren't up when I said they would be. I just started working 3rd shift, so I haven't been on the computer at all, the first story will be up Saturday night. The title of "Understanding" has changed though. I read it again and realized the title had nothing to do with the story once I was finished with it so I changed it to Matchmaker, Matchmaker.... Be prepared for some different (non-slash) pairings (I had fun with this one!).
Update: July 21, 2001- Two stories (not mine) have been added to the archive. "Love Works in Mysterious Ways" and "PADDS And Too Much Time " both by Lanna Paris
