Finally it had happened. After so many years of frustration they were actually here – together. And it had only taken a posting to the other side of the country to make it possible. It didn’t exactly seem fair that they had to win and lose at the same time, but Jack O’Neill had never been one to waste an opportunity and he had just finished removing the shirt and bra from the woman of his dreams. Now he was in a state of shock.

The woman lying in front of him was looking up and giggling at him while he could only stare. Part of his mind kept yelling that she was lying in his bed – well, technically on his bed; they’d not made it under the covers – but his focus was being drawn elsewhere. This was so not going the way he had planned.

“When did you get that?” he finally staggered out.

Her hand moved across her stomach in an almost seductive fashion. “About six months ago,” she replied casually. “When Cassandra came to visit me we decided to both get it done. After years of wearing those BDUs I just wanted something a little,” she shrugged, “sexy.”

He leaned over her, placing a kiss on her skin. “Oh yeah,” he murmured, “sexy.” Something then decided to kick his brain back to earth. “Cassandra?” He sat up and blinked. “Does Janet know about this?”

She giggled again. “Jack, she’s an adult in college. She doesn’t need Janet’s permission for anything like this.” Her eyes gleamed. “Actually, one of her friends has a piercing someplace else.”

“Oh?”

“And I’m not talking any of the usual places for piercings either. It’s a little, er, lower.”

His eyes widened even as they began to drift towards the waistband of the jeans she was still wearing. Was such a thing even possible? He looked back up at her face.

“Oh no,” she responded to his silent question. “I’m not that brave. Anyway, this friend’s boyfriend has a matching one. Can you imagine if they got stuck?”

Jack certainly could. Having to call the emergency services because you got stuck during sex was not something he would ever want to do. “No thanks,” he muttered.

“Jack?”

“Hmm?” His mind was still stuck on the imagery of being, well, ‘stuck.’

“Jack, I only have forty-eight hours before I have to return to Washington. Do you think we could get back to the matter at hand?”

He blinked at her and once again his focus was drawn to the metal adorning her stomach. Her hand reached out and lifted his chin so that he was now looking into her smiling face. “Oh, yeah,” he murmured as he lowered himself over her body. He wasn’t about to let a pierced belly-button come between him and Sam Carter, not after this long of a wait. And if he should discover something else about her, well that was all just part of the fun.

He just hoped she was telling the truth about not having the other piercing.
