Here, goes. Okay, this challenge can be very frustrating, *believe me *, so, I'll do my best to make this quick and painless. *g* The story can be no longer than 55 words. Contractions count as one word. Hyphens are a little trickier, re-enter is one word and blue- green is two. The title can be no more than 7 words. And.......I can't remember anything else, so I think this is pretty good. *hopes to see some responses* ttfn, lissa:)
Send responses to wickedmoonchild@hotmail.com, or re-send and I might set up a page for them...
****P.S. They don't have to pertain to fic! Just write! Most of these were written at 3am because I couldn't sleep!
Disclaimer: My imagination and I'm not getting any money, so Thhhpppptttt!!!!!!!! *spunky mood*

Soul Mates
They were made for each other. Yin & Yang you might say. He's devoted to her, and she depends on him. He waits patiently with only one thing standing between them, Starfleet rules. Time for a little revision. A snip here and a snip there. All right, all fixed. Better send Voyager the updated rules.

Control
She looked at him. It was barely a glance. But that, along with a slight smile, was enough to get his attention. He smiled and tried to focus on the report in his hand. She glanced at him again, and he was only capable of daydreaming. She smiled, mission accomplished, and went to her readyroom.

Getting Even
Morning briefing. Neither of them are paying attention. He slides his foot along her leg, while looking at the current speaker. Her eyebrows shoot up.
Later: "Chakotay?" she said while in her readyroom.
"Yes?" he replied. She kissed him. "You have the bridge. I'm going to Engineering." She left knowing she was in the lead.

NEW STUFF!!!
~*~<@>~*~
Once Upon a Time...
"Once upon a time," started Harry.
"That's a silly way to begin a 55 word story," Tom cut in.
"It isn't," Harry scoffed.
"It is," Tom said childishly.
"Isn't," said Harry, reverting to age seven.
Then, Kathryn entered, phaser in hand, and stunned them.
"Happily ever after," she said, smiling mischievously.

Indecision
She was tired. She was lonely. He loved her once. He was gone, into the arms of another. It was too late. She didn't care...she did care. She hid her feelings. She was strong. She was happy for him...she wasn't really. It was too late...or was it? Love is strong.

Regret
He was tired. He was lonely. He loved her once. She was gone. He found another. It was too late. He didn't care...he did care. He hid his feelings. He was strong. He tried to be happy...but wasn't. He was resolute. It was too late...or was it? Love is strong.

He spoke
Trapped. He said the words that will forever echo in her soul. Her cheeks burned. Her vision went blurry. Her pulse quickened. Her legs turned to jelly. Her world was spinning out of control, leaving her mind screaming at the chaos of life. All because he had softly whispered, "Kathryn, we're out of coffee."

Talent Night
Seven was performing. Old gel packs, a phaser, and a leola plant were being juggled easily. She was doing well...until the phaser exploded, injuring Seven and the potted leola. Unfortunately, the plant didn't make it, but then again Seven didn't, either. At the funeral, Kathryn and Chakotay exchanged many happily secretive gazes.

Catfight
Tom had to say only one word to get the attention of the entire messhall. "Catfight," a hush fell, "Holodeck 1." Immediately, the crew was struggling to see the action. When they arrived, Kathryn had Seven in a headlock. The shock on the crew's faces was apparent. Kathryn was whispering in Seven's ear, with malice in her every word. When Chakotay showed up, he rushed to Kathryn. The look on her face was triumphant. They left the holodeck hand in hand. Seven was left sitting on the floor with a black eye and a fat lip for her scheming.
