(From rear to front: R. Adm Karmin (Meghan Griffith) and Son John A. Griffith)
BIOGRAPHY:
Name: Meghan Griffith
Character: Rear Admiral Suzanne Angela Karmin
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Meghan has been obsessed with Star Trek for 5 years. She began by simply watching the reruns of TOS on weekday afternoons but soon devoured everything ST she could get her hands on…
Meghan became aware of IDF through her fiancé, Jeremiah. In September 2003, she joined the Liberty. Her character was Ensign Lanai Kelly, the ship’s counselor. She simmed actively for a few months until the birth of her son, John. After a long LOA, she returned to the Liberty in June 2004.
In July 2004, Meghan’s husband Jeremiah approached her with an idea for a new ship, the USS Avalon-C. After some deliberation, Meghan decided to join as Lt Commander Suzanne Karmin, the 2nd officer. She was soon promoted to First officer and was simming furiously when she decided to apply for the FD vacancy. Meghan was surprised to be chosen as the new Force Director of the Excelsior fleet. Her character was given command of the Avalon and promoted to Rear Admiral.
Outside of simming, Meghan works at Dillon’s, a local grocery store, as a customer service associate and Floor Coordinator. She is fluent in sign language and French and is currently taking a Spanish class. She enjoys reading, writing, playing with the baby, and drinking all the Pepsi she can get her hands on.
