HUNTERDON WALKING & SOCIAL CLUB

Sunday walks are at 5:00 unless otherwise noted.
Important!! If only attending
social or in the event of rain please call the person
listed under that social before 5:00 to ensure a seat at the restaurant.
Since the leaders’ cell numbers
are provided only on the members’ schedules, if not yet a member, call Jeff
908-782-1320 at least a day in advance for further information and leave
message, especially if you only wish to attend social. You can also just come
on the walk and you will be welcome to join us at the
social. But it is always a good idea to call Jeff anyway and he can give
you any updates in case changes were made. Please speak clearly so he can
return your call.

July 9 - WALK AND
CONCERT AT DUKE ISLAND PARK Walk
at 5:00, concert at 6:30. (Bring picnic dinner to
eat before concert) Take Rt. 206 S. off Somerville circle (toward
Princeton), Go a short distance under bridge to light. Turn right onto
Somerset St. (becomes Old York Road), go through town of Raritan. A few
miles after town look for park on left. Coming from Flemington, go north
on Rt. 202 and turn right onto Old York Road. Look for park on right. Meet in front of the administration building.
Don’t forget lawn chair for the concert, Vito Picone
& The Elegants (Doo-Wop) Concert ends about
8:00. If concert is cancelled due to
rain (908 722-1200 ext. 5351), socialize at Thirsty’s,
Rte. 202 N. (less than a mile north of Old York Road), at 6:15. Call

August 27 - Walk at 5:00- MORALES NATURE
PARK Take Route 12 towards Frenchtown. Turn right at
1st light on to Old Croton Rd. Then right turn onto Capner Street, parking lot is on the right. Or Main
St. Flemington, to Capner St. (near courthouse), go
about a mile, parking lot will be on left. Wear
appropriate footwear for trails. Socialize at Longhorn Steakhouse, 138 Hwy
31 Flemington (in front of PetSmart in the Lowe’s/ Walmart mall) at 6:15
rain or shine. Call leader
to reserve a seat by 5:00.
