Jack Quinn's

November 18, 2002

So it wasn't really until Sarah invited me to go see them again, with her brother, that I started gaining interest. This concert was in a small(ish) pub called Jack Quinn's. The atmosphere was much much more intimate, and even while they were singing, you felt like you were a part of the music and the fun. Pittsburgh felt like a strange concert where you sat or stood by your chair, but felt restrained to only clap.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here. First, we ate dinner in Jack Quinn's. I had the Irish Stew and fell in love with lamb. Baa baa. LOL We also had Bailey's on the rocks. Ooooooh yeaaah...*drools* LOL The waiter was odd, but friendly and we split a dessert.

The doors to the loft/concert area were to open at 7 pm, however...we ended up standing in line forever. The plane Gaelic Storm was flying in on was delayed, and so was the show as a result. They finally opened the doors sometime after 8 pm. Once everyone was in and situated, they started the show.

My favorite moments of the night:

Monty Python sighting!!
When prodded to do an encore, they suddenly burst into "Always look on the Brighter side of life".
