Greetings! If you have been exploring my Gaelic Storm pages, you might have picked up on the fact that I LOVE Bob! *waits for sighs of exasperation and hollers of "I NOTICED!"* LOL
If you're worried about my intentions with Bob, it's okay. I know he's married, and has a daughter. I'm not "after him". I just adore him. He's so cute, sweet, and...did I mention he was cute? *giggle* LOL Seriously, Bob is one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet--and he really truly appreciates his fans. His sense of humor might be considered a bit corny, but I love it--it's so similar to my own! LOL
If I may tell you my own short story here: I enjoyed the band, the music, the jokes, etc...but the real reason why I really got "into them" is because of Bob. His sense of humor parallels my own, as does his belly (LOL), and his musical skills astound me.
I wonder if I would be this big of a fan, if it hadn't been for seeing Bob on stage...and then talking to him (however briefly) afterwards. That night at Jack Quinn's--this was the night I can confidently point to and say, "This is when I fell in love with Gaelic Storm...and met Bob face to face!"
Celtic/Irish music is not a genre I would ever have been drawn to on my own accord. Here it in a movie, sure...listen to one or two songs in a friend's car, okay...maybe even go on a weekend road trip with friends to see a band in concert...but to have all the CDs, to listen to them constantly, to find myself singing their songs at work while the Supremes beg for me to "Stop in the Name of Love"....this wasn't something I would have ever predicted. I'm a light rock, Pop, oldies kind of gal. (I don't enjoy most country music, rap, and hard rock.) So connecting with Gaelic Storm was a pleasant surprise.
