The Borg Version of Part of Your World
(From Disney's The Little Mermaid, no infringement is meant!)
This is a Song parody my sisters did--I did the lovely artwork for it.
Look at this cube, isn’t it neat?
Wouldn’t you think our collective’s complete?
Wouldn’t you think we are Borg,
Borg who have everything.
Look at this drone with no mind of its own,
how many drones can one chamber hold?
Lookin’ around us you’d think,
sure, they’ve got everyone.
We’ve got Vulcans and Romulans aplenty,
we’ve got Cardassians and Talaxians galore
You want Klingons? We’ve got twenty.
But who cares, no big deal, we want more.
We wanna be where the people are,
we wanna see, wanna see them assimilated
Being who they are with those–what do you call them?– oh, souls!
Having a personality, you don’t get too far,
Borg are required to achieve perfection
Flying through space in search of more–what’s that word again?- races!
Out where they talk, out where they quip,
out where they play all day on their ship
Wanderin free, wish they could be part of our world
What would they give,
if they could live with some of our order?
What would they pay,
to spend a day with all of our voices?
Betcha out there, they wouldn’t dare,
trying to assimilate others
All those races, sick of slow paces,
ready not to care
And ready to know what the Borg know
Ask us a question and get some answers
What’s resistance and why is it– what’s the word?- futile?
Now it’s their turn, when they learn,
learn to explore all those lands out in space
In outer space, the perfect race, be part of the Borg.
