THE FRAME OF ASSOCIATION.

 

The Hynńiewtrep Adventure Association or H.A.A. was established on the 2nd October 2001. It is the association established for the social welfare by the students, with the helps of some adult, of different area of Khasi – Jaińtia Hills. Its members include both the educated and non-educated people of the region. The members include the active members, i.e., the students (educated people), known as the Agents, and the associative members (general and non-educated people), known as the supporters. The Head of the Association is the President and the Vice President of the Central Body. It has been divided into different zones, units, departments and committees. Every zone is under the in charge of one Agent by the name of a President (of that particular zone) along with its Vice President. Each unit has one Agent of Information and responsible members. Every Departments and Committee are under the appoint members known by different names. The Association aims at the principles of socio-economic development. The H.A.A. has the following divisions:-

 

1.            Northern Zone…………………..(Ri-Bhoi District).

2.            Eastern Zone…………………….(Jaińtia Hills District).

3.            Central Zone……………………..(Shillong Circle).

4.            Southern Zone……………………(Southern part of East Khasi Hills District).

5.            Western Zone……………………..(West Khasi Hills District).

 

OBJECTIVES

(FUNCTIONS).

1.      The main objective is to collect the information and unearth the valuable historical events and things like monuments, etc.

2.      To search many sceneries and wondrous places of tourist attraction (within the boundaries of its works).

3.      It wants to study well on those collected information; their source and origin with proofs.

4.      It wants to study specially the cultural practices of the Hynńiewtreps.

5.      It also aims at the foundations of more and more employment and opens various institutions and training centres on various spheres of workings.

6.      Collectively, the objectives of the Association are to create more and more information to develop:

(i)     Tourism,

(ii)    Education (especially for the department of History and Geography),

(iii)  Public information through the media (TV, Radio, Newspaper, etc.),

(iv)  Development of museums.
