The Suliban are a Beta Quadrant species that has its origins in sector 3471. The Suliban home world became uninhabitable in the earth year of 1850, due to a global cataclysm. Ever since then the Suliban have established their own colonies or have assimilated into societies of neighboring sectors. Ever since they have lost their home world, there has been no official government, only a faction called the Cabal. The Cabal is the sole unified faction in the Suliban circle. It is a society of Suliban that answer to none and work for their own gain. The Cabal and its members fight as mercenaries in a Temporal Cold War that had one of its fronts in the mid twenty second century. The Cabal has attacked Tandaran facilities and caused civil unrest in the Klingon empire. In return for their services, they have gained genetic engineering technologies and techniques. With this genetic knowledge they have improved their genome by giving themselves multi lensed retinas, a photo sensitive skin, shape shifting limbs, tactile abilities and increased lung capacity. Suliban behavior is based on stealth and this trait is mimicked on their technology, they have ships equiped with cloaking technology and they wear a photo sensitive garment that allows them to act as chameleons.
