Smallville: My lover is a teenage alien

Blow Your Mind by Jenn (Clark/Lex)

Clark has to pick Lex up from a drunken Bacchanalian orgy. And some of the Bacchanlianism "spills over" into the truck (ha!).

Three Impossible Things by Jenn (Clark/Lex)

Another one by Jenn. This one has two of my favourite things, College-Aged Clark and Catfight Clark. And a happy ending (although she had me worried there for a while).

The Camping Series by Helena Handbasket (Clark/Lex)

One of the best road trip series out there. My favourite part is The Denny's Napkin Incident, in which Lex tries to calculate the mathematical probability of getting it on with Clark.

Enterprise: To hell with the jumpsuits—where are the miniskirts?

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark by The Grrrl (Tucker/Reed)

I can't gush too forcefully about this fic. You'll just have to go read it.

Kiss by Kylie Lee (Archer/Tucker)

When does buddy sex become something more? When it's in the hands of Kylie Lee, of course!

Touch by Kipli (Tucker/Reed)

Very original sex, and a bed out of "Trading Spaces." What more could you want?

But We Were Gods Then by MJ (Archer/Reed)

Not the most popular of pairings, but in the right hands, it can be very effective. And this one has the added bonus of Leather Malcolm and a good, Original Series-style plot.

Waiting by Leah (Tucker/Hayes)

Leah is known as the Mother of the MACOs for a reason. Also recommended is her Reed/Kemper series (even though Reed belongs with Hayes, dammit!).

Shadows in the Dark by Pretzelduck (Reed/Hayes). Added June 20, 2004

Now, that's more like it. Great AU in which Hayes lives. With Reed.

Stargate SG-1: Yes, we have made a career out of entering a large hole

Between the Shadow and the Soul by The Grrrl (Jack/Daniel)

The story that not only turned me on to Jack/Daniel slash, but that turned me on to the "Stargate SG-1" show. There are other very good stories by this author, but this one's the classic.

Mystic Rhythms by Nakeno (Movie Jack/Daniel, Daniel/Shau'ri)

I like "Stargate" movie slash as well, although there isn't nearly as much of it. This is a good post-movie fic, complete with nice Daniel longing.

Farther Than Earth From Heaven by Destina Fortunato (Jack/Daniel)

I don't usually go for the sad stories, but this is just so beautiful, and incredibly romantic, in a nonnauseating way. Meridian "death" fic.

No Man is Born an Angler by Anna S. (Jack/Daniel)

This story is brilliant for the title alone (which comes from 17th-century Field and Stream equivalent The Compleat Angler, "as no man is born an artist, so no man is born an angler"). The original plot, hot sex, and amazing characterisations are a bonus.

Daniel Jackson's Diary by Anais (Daniel/Paul, Jack/Daniel)

All of her stories are incredible, but this series is the ultimate in Stargate slash humour. Just make sure you have a good few days to devote to reading it. You won't want to stop.

How Daniel Got His Groove Back by Nel (Jack/Daniel)

Despite the title, this story is full of sophisticated humour (Cappuccino monkeys! Ha!), great characterizations, and nice, understated romanticism.

Laying Open by The Grrrl (Jack/Paul)

Yes, you read that right. Not a pairing I'd ever considered, but strangely fitting in this story. Which is, of course, also hot.

Once in a Lifetime by Pepe (Jack/Daniel)

What if Daniel didn't fall into Jack's arms at the first available opportunity? Occasional Britishisms, but a very cliche-free fic.

Prestidigitation by Ironclad Otter (Jack/Daniel)

Usually the queen of dark, this is a lighter piece from the excellent Ironclad Otter. Favourite line: "He looks like a really big, angry snapping turtle might look if you accused it of cheating at Scrabble."

Never Enough by Kylie Lee (Jack/Daniel)

A Fifth Race fic I read before I saw The Fifth Race, and I loved it then, too.

Like Touch, Like Love by Kylie Lee and The Grrrl (Jack/Daniel)

Great plot, great sex, great team dynamics and appearances from the supporting players.

Fire on the Mountain by Debi C (Jack/Daniel). Added June 20, 2004

This is the fourth part of a series, but I hadn't read the first parts and it still worked as a great cabin fic AU.

Thanks Be to the Ancestors (Jack/Daniel)

So it killed a similar fic I was working on. It was worth the carnage. One Hundred Days postep, and all that entails.

Forced Perspective by Tenaya (Jack/Daniel, AU Jack/Daniel, noncon). Added June 20, 2004

I hate noncons. Let's just make that clear. This, however, was a noncon, but not really. (I know, no means no, but read it and see.)

The Space Within by The Grrrl. Added June 20, 2004

Another one from The Grrrl. Great cabin fic. Mm mm.

Firefly: "Shut yer purty mouth" or I'll find a creative way to shut it for you

The Filament Series by Lemonlashes (Simon/Wash, Mal/Jayne, Zoe/Inara)

So they aren't exactly the typical pairings. This series has phenomenal writing and Mal in recreational drag. What more could you want?

Uninhibited by Juli (Mal/Simon)

What happens when Simon's juices start to flow? A lot of fun for Mal (and us, naturally).

Assessment by Ana (Jayne/Simon)

Not your typical Jayne/Simon story, but well worth reading.

Other fandoms: Because they're all doing it

Full Fathom Five by Anais (Horatio Hornblower, Hornblower/Kennedy)

I have long looked for good Horatio/Archie slash, and here's some really good stuff. With an upcoming sequel, I'm pleased to note.

Taste by Parhelion (Nero Wolfe, Wolfe/Goodwin)

Because sex isn't just for the "really, really ridiculously good-looking" (thankfully). Yes, it is Nero/Archie. Yes, it is NC-17. And yes, it is tasteful. And even a little romantic.

Heat Haze by Alyse (Jurassic Park 3, Alan/Billy)

I love this fandom, but there's very little good stuff out there. Alyse is one of the best, and this is one of my favourites.

The Prizes Over Discovery Series by Keiko (Master and Commander, Aubrey/Maturin)

These stories read like missing books from the series. Only better. And with hot sex.
