In June, 2012 we visited Nevada for the first time. We spent a little bit of time in Las Vegas at the end of our trip to Utah and the Grand Canyon. While we were there I took one morning to do a couple of short hikes in the Spring Mountains northwest of Las Vegas. I didn't have time to hike to the summit of Mount Charleston, so I settled for less ambitious hikes to Cathedral Rock and Mary Jane Falls. We then spent the rest of the weekend in Vegas!
