In August of 2016 a work assignment in Wichita gave me the opportunity to hike in Kansas. I did an after-work hike at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. I hiked almost 7 miles from the Visitor Center to the Scenic Overlook and back. The biggest highlight was an incredible sunset. Photos
The next week an assignment in Kansas City gave me the opportunity to visit Ted Grinter's Farm near Lawrence, Kansas during the annual sunflower bloom. Photos
