In August, 2011 we passed through Iowa on our way back from Wyoming. We took advantage of the opportunity to hike in Wapsipinicon State Park and Maquoketa Caves State Park. (Photos). Highlights included wildflowers, numerous caves, a natural bridge, and other interesting rock formations. In October of 2022, we spent a weekend in Cedar Rapids visiting the birth parents of the baby we were adopting. We returned in late December for Jackson's birth. In July of 2023 we finished a 2 week trip with a couple of days in Cedar Rapids for Jackson's adoption finalization. (Photos). The next summer, we spent most of week at a cabin in Palisades Kepler State Park. (Photos). In the summer of 2025 we returned to Iowa to visit Jackson's birth parents. We spent 3 nights in a cabin near Central City. (Photos).
