We all know about the legendary mines located in Uinta mountains and that many people have search years for them. I have also done my share of searching as well. On one occasion I stopped and talked with the lady at the gas station at the mouth of Current Creek. She told me that a few searchers had talked too much about their findings and turned up behind a bar,(near Ashley Creek), with indian sacrificial knives in their backs. She also showed me a picture of a Spanish helmet that she had found lodged between the trunk and branch of a tree in Current Creek.
