different brain waves within Ingoldo ::
:: Ingoldo is very still on diagnostic bed his eyes has a faraway 
look to them. But within his mind there is a battlefield::
Ingoldo: (I will never surrender to you.) :: He looks at the alien. 
Around them in the world of the mind there is desolated landscape a 
mix of Ingoldos destroyed town on Betazed, the Golden Gate is at the 
horizon and the aliens reality ::
Alien: (I will join with you and we will grow.)
Ingoldo: (Join, you wish to use us.) :: Ingoldo walks around the 
alien looking at it as if it was something from a horror-story ::
Alien: (Enough talk, we will join now.) :: The Alien floats closer 
Ingoldo ::
Ingoldo: (We will not. I have been reading your thoughts while we 
talked.) :: The Alien stops :: (I know you now, that was your big 
misstake)
Alien: (_Misstake_?) :: Seems surprised ::
Ingoldo: (We are in _my_ mind. I control my mind on a level which you 
do not comprehend.) :: Smiles dangerously at him :: (You had the 
element of surprise, but not anymore.)
:: Ingoldos home town is whole again, the landscape is not desolate 
but live and green. Golden Gate is _more_ than usual ::
Ingoldo: (I have read your mind and I understand more now. I know of 
the plans to join both realities.)
Alien: (That is not important.)
Ingoldo: (We shall see. For you that does not matter, you will pay 
for what you have done. You are trapped in my mind now.)
::The Alien tries to leave, escape, but there is no way out::
::As Ingoldos mind destroy the invading brain wave Dr. Fredricks 
instruments shows that only one wave remains::
:: Dr. Fredricks see one single tear role down Ingoldos cheek as he 
blinks and returns to the world ::
Dr. Fredrick: "Ingoldo?" :: A concerned look :: "Is it you?"
Ingoldo: "Yes Doctor, I am back."
Dr. Fredrick: "We saw two brain waves but one is gone and only yours 
remain. What happend to you?"
Ingoldo: "I was assaulted by an Alien mind, it nearly overwhelmed me. 
I was able to drive it out."
Dr. Fredrick: "And the single tear?"
Ingoldo: "I had to destroy it to survive. To take a life is hard for 
a telepath we feel when someone dies."
Dr. Fredrick: "I want you to rest now."
Ingoldo: "Doctor, I have to return to the Bridge. We are in danger 
from the Aliens and Commander Ford is walking into a trap. I belive I 
may have a solution."
Dr. Fredrick: "Very well, but your vital-signs will be watched by the 
computer at all times. I do not want any more problems from our Chief 
Science Officer.":: Smiles ::
Ingoldo: "Thanks, Doctor." :: Smiles and rises from from the 
diagnostic bed and heads for the exit ::
