OFF: Oh no, We're stuck it a turbolift, and we can't get out!

ON: {Bridge, USS Excalibur, in Space Dock}

::After some unpacking and lunch with the First Officer, Captain 
McCloud heads back to the bridge. Just as the lift is about to 
arrive at the bridge, it comes to an abrupt stop. When the door 
doesn't open, he taps his comm badge.::

McCloud: =^= Captain to bridge.......Captain to anyone.......=^=

::Thinks (What the hell? Tell me I stuck in a turbolift on my own 
ship.) He opens a panel and reajusts some isoliner chips. The lift 
starts moving again and stops at the bridge.::

McCloud: "Crewman, is there a problem with the lifts?"

Worker: "Yes sir, but I think we have it solved."

McCloud: "Well I had to readjust some chips just now to get here. 
And my comm badge didn't work while I was in there." ::Taps badge 
again:: =^= Captain to Tolbin.=^=

Tolbin: =^= Yes Captain? What's up?=^=

McCloud: =^=Just checking my comm badge. I got stuck in the lift on 
my way to the bridge, and my comm didn't work.=^=

Tolbin: =^=That's strange. What would cause that?=^=

McCloud: =^= I think some of the isoliner chips were installed out 
of sequence and maybe causing a resonance feedback cutting off the 
comm signal. We had better check out the rest of these lifts before 
some else gets stuck. Where are you now?=^=

Tolbin: =^=Actually, I just got to engineering, I wanted to check it 
out.=^=

McCloud: =^= Good, check the panel and see if any of the lifts are 
inbetween decks.=^=

Tolbin: =^= Ok, hang on a sec, I have to find it first. Oh, here it 
is. The forward lift is between decks 21 and 22. There are two life 
signs. And by the look of the signs, one of them is our new security 
assistant, J'Dar.=^=

McCloud: =^=I'll get them. Captain out.=^=

::Captain McCloud goes into the turbolift. He takes it to deck 23, 
gets out and heads to the lift shaft access port. He climbs in and 
down to his trapped crewmen. He reaches the top of the lift and 
enters thru the top door. As the door begins to open a huge hand 
grabs him and pulls him in.::

McCloud: "Wo big fella. I'm just here to help."

::J'Dar releases the Captain. McCloud goes to the panel and starts 
to readjust the chips.::

Jade: "How did you find us? Our comm badges wouldn't work. You 
maintainance guys are really on the ball."

J'Dar: "Counselor, I do not think he is with maintainance."

Jade: "Sure he is, who else would be crawing thru the shafts like 
that?"

McCloud: "The Captain would."

Jade: "Captain?? Oh, Sir I'm sorry. I mean, I...."

McCloud: "Don't sweat it Ensign. I was an Engineer, long before I 
became a captain. Well, since we haven't been properly introduced, 
I'm Captain McCloud. You two must be Ensigns Jade and J'Dar."

::With a couple of last adjustments the lift starts moving again
and then stops on deck 22.::

J'Dar: "Sir, It is good to meet you. Although I would rather it had 
been under different circumstances."

Jade: "Same here, Sir. I mean to be rescued by the Captain from a 
turbolift, it's embarassing."

McCloud: "Well I'll tell you what, It will be our little secret."
::The lift doors open.:: "Welcome to deck 22, and welcome aboard."

Jade & J'Dar: "Thank you sir."

OFF: Welcome to both of you. Let's just keep going.
