OFF - I hope everyone had a glorious Easter! My, oh, my, the posts from this weekend are fascinating. I hope to uphold the proud "postings" of this crew- ON - {Bridge} :: Feeling the First Officer's eyes staring at the back of his neck, Redroi plugs in the co-ordinates, at his indulgence, as the Captain has commanded. Just then, the klaxon sounds, & the ship is sent to Yellow Alert:: COMPUTER: "_Yellow_ Alert! Yellow Alert! All hands, report to duty stations. _Yellow_ Alert!" MCCLOUD: "Ensign Stanford, take the conn. Redroi, go to Ops." STANFORD & REDROI: "Aye, sir" ::The 2 ensigns move, Stanford to the conn, Redroi to Ops:: REDROI: "Sensors indicate nothing unusual sir." TOLBIN: "Ensign Ingoldo, run a diagnostic on the alert systems. If nothing is showing, we may have a glitch in the status systems." INGOLDO: "Aye, sir" :: The bridge hums with activity. Sensors scanning, diagnostics running, the million & 1 things that keep the mighty Galaxy class ships operating at top efficiency:: INGOLDO: "Sir, diagnostic indicate the presence of a, how do you say, 'bug'"? MCCLOUD: "'Bug', Ensign?" INGOLDO: "Yes, sir. There is a small life form attached to a conduit, feeding on the isolinear chip access." REDROI: (giggles slightly, which draws a whithering look from Tolbin) "Sorry, Commander" TOLBIN: "What is so funny, Ensign?" REDROI: "I am very sorry, Commander, Captain. I think it is funny that a 'bug' could get a Galaxy class on yellow alert. I beg your forgiveness, sirs, there is no disrespect intended." MCCLOUD: "That's ok, Ensign. We all need to lighten up sometimes" (with a pointed look at Tolbin) ::Tolbin glares at Redroi:: REDROI: (Wow, I think she wants to harm me.) "Thank you, sir" OFF - Methinks I may be digging a deeper & deeper hole with the XO, but time will tell. Might she & Ensign Redroi become dear friends?
