Stanford:  ::::Turns and looks at the Captain while sitting at his station with a suprised look on his face, wondering why the Captain didn't ask him to take her out?:::: 

McCloud: Ensign Stanford you will have your time flying her, I want Redroi to start this out while you check on the Operations Subprocessor and the emergency navigation sensors.  Also that you are the Bridge liaison to engineering we need you to as well keep an eye on the Warp core while this shake down is in process.  Don't worry Ensign you will have you opportunity to fly her.   

Stanford: ::: Looking a bit relieved that he wasn't passed over::: I understand Sir.  I was just hoping to take her out on her maiden voyage. 

McCloud: Yes I know you were Ensign, But I need you to do more important things.  Sorry I should have warned you that you wouldn't be taking her out.   

Stanford: Thank you Sir.  I do understand now what I have to do.   

McCloud: I knew you would. 

Tolbin:  ::: turns to Mac, talking quietly::: You just did that because I had to talk to Redroi now didn't you? 

McCloud:  ::: Looks at XO:::: Now would I do that? 

Tolbin: No not really but poor Stanford, I think he was really looking forward to taking her out. 

McCloud:  Well he needs to keep an eye on the Warp Core we will be picking up speed as soon as we leave the system.  You know as well as I do that we have to break her in.  I really wish that the new Chief Engineer made it on board before we left but. 

Tolbin: I know.  We are a bit stretched thin here till the rest of the crew makes it on board.  I hope we get them before our first mission. 

McCloud:  So do I.  :::: talking to Stanford::::  If you see any fluctuations in any of those systems Ensign even minor ones please speak up.  We don't want the Excalibur to shake herself apart right out of Space Dock. 

Stanford: Aye Sir.   

OFF:  Well I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter.  Sorry about the mixup on the Conn. I will have to beat the Captain when he gets back.   
I think he was excited to get her out of spacedock...
