OFF: Is everybody ready for a little cruise? I hope so. Here we go.

ON: {Bridge, USS Excalibur, Space Dock}

::Mac stands on the bridge and reads over so last minute reports. 
His senior staff are at their stations, he thinks. (I guess it's 
time to see what this ship can really do.) He sits down in the 
Command Chair for what feels like the very first time.::

McCloud: ::Looks over at Commander Tolbin:: " Commander, put me on 
ship wide intercom."

Tolbin: "Your on, sir."

McCloud: "This is the Captain. I just want to say you have all been 
doing a great job getting the ship ready for her maiden voyage. It 
looks like we're ready to take a little shake down cruise. I know we 
still have some temporary crewmen on board, as not all of our key 
staff has reported in yet. We may have to stop along the way to pick 
up some of them, but Admiral Star and I think we should take the 
ship out to make sure she's ready. So, all hands to stations, and 
lets get under way."

:: He closes the intercom, and addresses the bridge crew.::

McCloud: "Is everybody ready?"

::A chorus of "Aye Sir" from the crew.::

McCloud: "Great. Commander?"

Tolbin: "Clear all morrings. Space dock reports we are clear."

McCloud: "Mr. Redroi. Take us out."

Redroi: "Aye sir. one quarter impulse."

Tolbin: "Watch those doors, Ensign."

Redroi: "Believe me Commander, they are formost on my mind."

McCloud: "Your doing fine, Ensign."

Redroi: "Thank you sir."

:: The ship slips through the doors without as much as a whisper.
They are out in free space.::

McCloud: "Mr. Redroi, set course."

Redroi: "Yes sir, what heading?"

McCloud: "You may indulge yourself."

Redroi: ::big grin:: "_Yes sir_."

::The ship heads out of the system on impulse. McCloud feels the 
thrum of the engines and a swelling of pride in his ship and crew.::

OFF: Ok gang, have some fun. We will start our first mission on 
Monday or Tuesday.
