ON:

LOCATION: {Deck 8, My Quarters}

:: It is a start to a new day, I walk into the living room and can 
see the beautiful stars out the window. I walk over to the 
replicator to request some breakfast and my favorite drink. ::

Jade: "Computer, a cup of _amaretto_ latte, with whipped cream, 
hot." :: It materializes. :: "Computer, I would also like a Belgium 
waffle with strawberries, whipped cream, and powdered suger, with 
bacon on the side." :: It materializes. ::

:: I walk over to the desk I had put in my quarters, so that I could 
do work from my room if I desired too. ::

:: I sat down, and placed the plate and saucer, with the cup on it, 
on the desk before me. ::

Jade: "Computer, do I have mail at this time."

Computer: "You have no mail."

Jade: "Great." :: I said out loud. ::

:: Just as I begin to eat my breakfast..... ::

Tolbin: =^= Tolbin to Counselor Jade. =^=

Jade: =^= Jade here. How can I help you this morning First Officer?

Tolbin: =^= Could you please report to the bridge. =^=

Jade: =Sure, just give me a few, I just got up. =^=

Tolbin: =^= No problem, see ya in a minute, Tolbin out. =^=

:: I finished my latte real fast, and then departed from my 
quarters. As I walked to the turbo lift, I run into someone I have 
not gotten a chance to meet yet. ::

Jade: "Hello, you are new here, I am Counselor Crystal Jade, may I 
ask who you are."

Kelley: "Hi, I'm Lt. Vian Kelley, its nice to meet you. I am the 
new Assistant Medical Officer."

Jade: "Nice to meet you Lt. Kelley. Are you headed towards the 
turbo lift as well?"

Kelley: "Yes."

Jade: "Would you like some company, I am being called to the brigde."

Kelley: "Sure, I'm headed for Sick Bay, I'm still trying to get 
everything ready, and it has been really hard because we haven't 
received our new Chief Medical Officer yet, so I feel a little 
overwhelmed."

Jade: "I see. Well when you are doing your work, do it has if you 
were the Chief Medical Officer, and that might help you some. 
Because if you look at it this way, the Chief Medical Officer would 
be doing the same thing you are doing now, except more. He or She 
would have alot of responsiblity, alot more than what you have now, 
so enjoy what you have, and learn from the experience, because one 
day you might just be in the top position. Don't feel overwhelmed, 
but honored that you get the opportunity to prove to the Captain and 
to yourself, that you can handle such a responsiblity, and when you 
begin to feel that way, you begin to grow as a person, and as a 
doctor."

Kelley: "Well, hmmmm, I don't know what to say, I didn't think I was 
going to get counseled today."

Jade: "Sorry, that is me. Sometimes I just can't quit talking, and 
other times, I don't have anything to say."

:: Jade and Kelley enter the turbo lift. ::

Kelley: "Sick Bay."

Jade: "And Bridge."

:: We reach the sick bay and Lt. Kelley exits. ::

:: Less than a minute later, I reach the Bridge. ::

:: I exit the turbo lift, and notice that First Officer Tolbin 
wasn't there, but there was CDR Ford, and Ensign J'Dar. ::

:: I walk over to them. ::

Jade: "Hello CDR Ford, nice to see you again, and nice to see you as 
well J'Dar."

CDR Ford: :: Smiles at me, with a touch of redness in his 
cheeks. :: "Nice to see you too."

J'Dar: :: Looks up from what he was studing on his PADD. :: "Nice 
to see you too, Counselor, anymore problems with the turbo lift?" :: 
Looks back down to his PADD. ::

Jade: :: Smiling. :: "No, I haven't Ensign." :: I look at the 
CDR. :: "CDR Ford, have you seen First Officer Toblin, she asked for 
me to meet her here."

CDR Ford: "Yes, she poured some hot tea on herself by accident. So, 
she went up to Sick Bay real fast. She told me to tell you to wait 
for her here, that she would return as soon as she could."

Jade: "I see."

CDR Ford: "Have you been on the bridge before?"

Jade: "Yes, I have, before you arrived. Have you both been able to 
settle in okay."

J'Dar: :: Looks up again. :: "Yes, my quarters are a little 
cramped, but I am adjusting. This is a great ship, and I have no 
complaints, I am just honored to have the position I have now." :: 
Looks back down. ::

Jade: "And you CDR?"

CDR Ford: "Yes, I have, not quit finished, but almost there, I think 
it needs a woman's touch though." :: Smiles at me. ::

Jade: "Well, I am sure that if go to the holodeck, and request to 
speak with someone in home decorating, that they would be able to 
help you."

CDR Ford: :: Blushing slightly. :: "Maybe. I really didn't think 
about that."

Jade: "Well, that's why I'm here, to help you think clearly." :: I 
raised one eyebrow, as I say it. ::

:: The turbo lift doors open, and out steps another young man, I 
haven't yet had the opportunity to meet. ::

:: He walks over to the Science Officers Console, without saying a 
word. ::

Jade: "Excuse me gentleman, I would like to meet this young man."

:: I walk over to the console. ::

Jade: "Hello, I'm Counselor Crystal Jade, and you are?"

Ingoldo: :: Looks up at me. :: "Hi, I am Ingoldo. And I'm sorry 
Counselor, but I am not available for chatting at this time. I am 
very busy this morning, and I would like to finish what I am doing by 
lunch time."

Jade: "Thats fine, I just wanted to introduce myself."

:: I walk back to CDR Ford and Ensign J'Dar. ::


OFF: Okay, someone talk over from here, otherwise....I could turn it 
into a novel ;).
