OFF: I am having a wonderful time reading all of your posts.

ON:

LOCATION: {The Bridge)

Tolbin: "Well, not unlike you I want this ship to excell above all 
the rest so I want our crew to excell to. We can't have people doing 
what they think is right under pressure." 

Captain: "Yea. I know .... just don't be to hard on him... or I will 
have to take you to the holodeck and beat you again with the 
Bat'leths to remind you that you were a Ensign at one time to."

Tolbin: "Well, Captain, I'm up for it whenever you are." :: She 
gives the Captain a big smile. ::

Captain: "Your on, but not right now Tolbin, its been a long day, 
and I have been wanting to see how our new Counselor is doing."

Tolbin: "I haven't heard anything from her, except about the 
replicators, I haven't yet gotten to sit down with her, we have all 
been so busy that most of the time her and I have just communicated 
through our comm badge."

Captain: "Well I think its time one of us goes up to see our new 
Counselor." :: The Captain stands and walks over to the computer. ::

Captain: "Computer, were is Counselor Jade right now."

Computer: "Deck 8."

Captain: :: Turns to face the First Officer. :: "She must be going 
to her quarters, I will go up there. Talk to you later Tolbin." :: 
Gets on the Turbo Lift. ::

Captain: "Computer, Deck 8."

LOCATION: {Deck 8, My Quarters}

:: I had just returned to my quarters after a long day in my office, 
trying to get everything organized and ready for use. ::

:: Door Chimes ::

Jade: "Please, come in."

:: The door opens and Captain McCloud is standing there. ::

Captain: :: Still standing in the doorway. :: "Hello, Counselor, I 
haven't really gotten a chance to sit down and talk with you, are you 
available at this time?"

Jade: "Oh, yes, Sir, anytime is the right time, please come in and 
sit down." 

Captain: "Great." :: The Captain walks in and sits down on the 
sofa. ::

Jade: "I haven't, _yet_, had the opportunity to check my replicator 
in my quarters, so would you like anything?"

Captain: "That would be fine, a cup of Earl Grey, please, hot."

Jade: :: Stands in front of the replicator. :: "Computer, a cup of 
Earl Grey, hot." :: It materializes. :: "And a cup of amaretto 
latte, hot." :: It materializes. ::

:: I hand the cup to the Captain, and then sit down in the chair in 
front of him. There is a coffee table in between us, with little 
clown figurines setting on it. ::

Jade: :: I take a sip of my coffee, and then put the cup on the 
table. :: "So, Captain, what would you like to talk to me about?"

Captain: "First of all, I wanted to say welcome aboard the 
Excalibur. I know that our first meeting wasn't what either one of us 
expected, and I have been so busy with all the new crew members, 
which First Office Tolbin has been doing a wonderful job of taking 
care of, and I didn't want you to think that you have been forgotten."

Jade: "Oh, no Sir, I know that hasn't happened, I know that everyone 
is very busy, as so have I. I am not expecting alot at this time, 
but I am sure that once we have launced and we begin our mission, 
that I will be used alot. So, I am taking this time, as sort of a 
vacation."

Captain: "That is a good idea, Counselor. Have you been able to 
meet any of the other new crew members, I mean, I know that you have 
had the opportunity to meet Ensign J'Dar." :: He smiles at me. ::

Jade: :: I give off a small giggle. :: "Yeah, Ensign J'Dar, hard to 
forget him. I have talked with CDR Ford for a short time. He is an 
interesting man, I hope to learn more about him, other than that, I 
have not an opportunity yet."

Captain: "Everyone is very busy, since we will be launching in a few 
days. We want this ship in more than perfect shape."

Jade: "I understand completely. I am sure that I will get to know 
alot of the crew about a week or two in our mission, with people 
being homesick, and lonely. I have noticed that we have gotten alot 
more new permanent crew members, and I went over most of their files 
today in my office."

Captain: "That was a good idea, Counselor. Well, I don't want to 
keep anymore of your time, I just wanted to check in on you, to see 
how things were going, and if there was anything that I or the First 
Officer could do for you."

Jade: "Everything is going wonderful here, I did have a few clitches 
when I arrived, but everything seems to be resolved now. I was even 
finally able to get some closer from things down on Earth, and now I 
am totally excited about our mission."

Captain: "That sounds terrific. Well I really do have to be going, 
it has been a long day, meeting all the new crew members. I'll see 
you later Counselor." :: He stands up, and offers his hand to me. ::

Jade: "Thank you for the visit Captain, enjoy your evening. :: I 
stand up and shake his hand. ::

:: We walk together towards the door. Has he departed into the 
hallway, I return to the chair I was sitting in, looking out towards 
the stars and drinking my latte. ::

OFF: Don't worry, I'll be talking to alot of you really soon. ;)
