:: Ingoldo stands before one of the tourist-maps trying to find out 
where to go. ::

Security Officer: "May I help you, Sir."

Ingoldo: "Well I should be at the exhibition in hall three but I seem 
to be somewhat lost."

Security Officer: :: Smiles sympathetic
:: "It is normal for anyone new on the Starbase 17, it is an old base 
and rebuilt several times. But if you walk down the corridor, turn 
left and take the turbolift to deck two it will be straight on to the 
hall." 

Ingoldo: "Thanks Ensign."

:: Ingoldo follows the Security Officers direction and enters hall 
three.
In hall three there is a exhibition about Super massive black holes.
While he study the new scientific data the romulan scientist Molomek 
approach Ingoldo. ::

Molomek: "I hope you will not strike me again?"

Ingoldo: "Molomek I am sorry about that I..." :: He is interrupted by 
Molomeks raised palm. ::

Molomek: "There is no need for any explaination, Dr. Fredricks has 
already informed me of your mental condition at the time."

Ingoldo: :: Relieved :: "I understand." :: Changes the 
subject:: "What do you think of the exhibition then?"

Molomek: "It is interesting."

Ingoldo: "I am aware that the Romulan Star Empire uses a artificial 
quantum singularity as a power source for its warp-drive system. 
Consider the size of the singularity in the Super massive black hole."

Molomek: "As you know I can not speak of our warp-drive system. But 
the power of the singularity is fascinating.

:: After an hour of heated debate with Molomek they part from each 
other.
Ingoldo heads for the Starfleet section of the Starbase. He does not 
get lost this time, he knows exactly where to go. As he approach the 
end of a corridor two armed security officers stands in his way, one 
is the security officer that helped him earlier. ::

Security Officer: "I think you are lost again, Sir. This is a 
restricted area."

Ingoldo: "Yes and for good reasons. But I have a invitation for it."

Security Officer: "Your name?" :: Looks at his PADD. ::

Ingoldo: "Ingoldo, USS Excalibur."

Security Officer: "Please step foward to be identified." 

:: Ingoldo steps foward for a retinal- scann. ::
Ingoldo: "Ingoldo Alpha-Omega 003/1."

:: The doors open and he enters. 
Inside are several Starfleet officers including Ensign Montgomery.
As Ingoldo enters the room he walks over to him. ::

Montgomery: "I wondered when you would show up."

Ingoldo: "Do I know you, Ensign?"

Montgomery: "Not yet, I am the new Chief Intelligence Officer on the 
Excalibur."

Ingoldo: "Well I am Ingoldo the Chief Science Officer on her."

Montgomery: "I know, I have read your bio before I came aboard. And I 
asked some questions about you."

Ingoldo: "Questions?" :: Looks puzzled at him. ::

Montgomery: "Yes about your year on Starbase 123 for example. You had 
an interesting year there."

Ingoldo: "Then you know that the work there is classified and I may 
not speak of it."

Montgomery: "I understand. But what made me really interested is that 
you as the First of the Third House is in Starfleet."

Ingoldo: "My father is First One."

Montgomery: "I know, but he has almost retired from the family 
business and that you run it."

Ingoldo: "I do not wish to talk about my familys business to 
strangers."

Montgomery: "I meant no offence."

Ingoldo: "None taken."

Montgomery: "I am only intrigued by the fact that the Third House 
have been, shall we say collecting information for 1200 years."

Ingoldo: "1220 years to be precise. And we have only been trading 
information."

Montgomery: "I know that your network of contacts is large and wide-
spread. Even, it is rumoured, among a certain Orion criminal 
organization."

Ingoldo: "Our house have not broken any laws since Betazed joined the 
Federation."

Montgomery: :: Smiles :: "The Federation Intelligence agrees. I hope 
we can get to know each other."

Ingoldo: "It will be my honour."

:: They attend the meeting on a new type of Borg shield. ::

:: As the meeting ends Ingoldo meets Redroi in a bar on the promenade 
to celebrate their promotions ::

:: As the clock is almost eighteen hundred hours he goes back to the 
ship to attend the session with Jade. ::
