OFF:  Well I have more fun news ... We have another crewmen his name is Montgomery and he is our new Intelligence Officer... Please all give him a nice welcome... 

ON: 

:::: walking to turbolift after visiting with Jade... On my way to Ten Forward:::: 

Tolbin:  :::The doors open to the Turbolift and Ingoldo is standing there:::  " Deck 10.  Hi Ingoldo how are you?" 

Ingoldo:  " I am a bit sore, plus the Doctor told me not to think to much" 

Tolbin: " Well I am on my way to Ten Forward would you like to join me, right now I am not thinking to much either."  ::: smiles at him::: 

Ingoldo:  " Well that sounds very relaxing I think that is a great idea" 

Tolbin: " Excellent.  You know I think you did a great job closing that vortex.  That was a very tough choice after Cmdr. Ford was taken from the shuttle." 

Ingoldo: " Yes, that was very disturbing.  I worry about him." 

Tolbin:  " He should be fine.  They are of his race and you know what you are under orders not to think so worrying is definitely out of the question!" 

Ingoldo: " Yes you are right... Can I tell you something?" 

Tolbin: ::: The Doors open to the Turbolift and they exit and head towards Ten forward:::  " Sure after I get a nice cold drink." ::: They enter Ten forward and head to seats by the large viewing windows:::: 

Ingoldo:  " OK that's sounds good to me as well." 

:::: One of the servers walks up::: 

Waiter:  " What can I get for you Commander?" 

Tolbin: " Oh I would love an Amaretto and Iced Tea." 

Waiter:  " And you Ensign what can I get for you today?" 

Ingoldo:  " Well I think I will have the same as Cmdr. Tolbin is having, I never had that and would like to try it." 

Tolbin:  " OK what's the question?" 

Ingoldo:  " Well its not really a question more like a feeling.  I can sense some of the crew more then others and for some reason I can hear you louder then most.  Does that bother you?" 

Tolbin: "Hummmmm Well I don't really like the thought of someone in my head, but I have been known to have a big mouth so I can understand why you hear me loud and clear."  :::: They both laugh over that:::: 

Ingoldo:  " Now Cmdr. I haven't heard you ever raise your voice to anyone." 

:::: The waiter brings over the drinks and place them in front of us:::: 

Tolbin:  " There is a word you left out of that Ingoldo" 

Ingoldo:  :::: looks at her with questioning eyes::::: " huh?" 

Tolbin: "Yet" 

Ingoldo: " Oh I see"  :::: gets a very straight face:::: 

Tolbin: "oh no no don't misunderstand that one ... ::: smiles:::: usually under great stress it gets me excited ... cant seem to help it then." 

Ingoldo: " Thank goodness thought I was in trouble." 

Tolbin:  " Oh no not at all... Oh I have some news you are going to be promoted to Lt. (jg)  So if you take that as being in trouble well then you are in it deep" 

Ingoldo:  " Wow, really?" 

Tolbin: " Yes Sir you are... The Captain will be giving out promotions in a few days to some of the crew, and I thought it would cheer you up to know you are one of them." 

Ingoldo:  " Cmdr. I am speechless." 

Tolbin:  " Well then you are following the doctors orders then aren't you" 

Ingoldo:  "Yes I guess I am." ::: He smiles to her and a bit to himself::: 

Tolbin: " I am going to go to all who got a promotion and let them know.  I think this crew is great.  I am sorry all couldn't get a promotion but I can foresee the cream rising to the top very soon." 

Ingoldo:  " Cream rising?  Sometimes I get a bit lost with the phrases.  I guess my being on Vulcan has left me at a lose for some of the ways that people here use slang." 

Tolbin: " Don't worry .. You will get the hang of it faster then you know." 

Ingoldo: " Oh I got most of it Sir.  Its just sometimes things just seem to slip by me." 

Tolbin:  " Never" 

:::: They sit in Ten forward for a while chatting ::::::: 

Off:  Well  I think we are doing great as a crew.  Everyone is working very hard on there posts.  I am sorry that everyone didn't get a promotion.  Not that you all didn't deserve it.  Don't worry no one will be passed over.  Just cant go giving the whole crew a promotion right off the bat.  I hope to see your posts soon...
