OFF: oh no! We forgot about Memory Alpha.......

ON:{Observation lounge, USS Excalibur}

McCloud: "Very well, we will do it. Myhon when can the pulse-wave 
torpedo be ready?"

Myhon: "With Ensign Ingoldos help I belive we can do it in half an 
hour?" :: Looks at Ingoldo, agrees by a nod. ::

McCloud: "Number One?"

Tolbin: "Lets do it! We can not allow the object to enter, it would 
destroy Memory Alpha by its sheer mass."

McCloud: "Very well, lets do it."

::As the crew leaves to make the preparations, The captain asks 
Myhon and Ingoldo to wait.::

McCloud: "I just had a thought about the surrounding area of the 
Vortex. We can't let anything happen to Memory Alpha."

Myhon: "But we won't be able to protect the planet sir. We'll be 
lucky to get out of range of the shock wave that thing will put out."

Ingoldo: "I must agree captain."

McCloud: "Well I may still have an engineering trick or two up my 
sleeve lads. Take a look at this." ::He moves to his deck and 
swivels his terminal around for his two officers to see. He calls up 
plans for a probr on the screen.::

Myhon: "But sir, how will a probe help Memory Alpha. Remember what 
happened the last time we sent a probe into that thing."

McCloud: "Don't be decieved by thinking that this is just a probe. 
It's a design I've been playing aroud with for a few years."

Ingoldo: "Sir I must point out that the feed back from the sensors 
of the last probe is what knocked out the crew."

McCloud: "Look closer. This probe only has navigational sensors. The 
rest is shield generators. My plan is the launch the pulse wave 
torpido, followed by this probe. The probe will act as a cork to 
plug the vortex on this side. It will stop the shock wave from 
damaging our side while the vortex implodes and closes. Can you two 
make the proper modifacations?"

::Myhon and Ingoldo look at the plans for the probe ands after a few 
minutes conferring amoungst themselves, they both nod in agreement.::

Ingoldo: "I think we can sir."

Myhon: "Yes it should work, wish I had thought of it"

McCloud: "Ok lads. Than get to it. We don't have a lot of time."

Ingoldo/Myhon: "Aye sir."

::McCloud downloads the probe plans into a PADD and the two officers 
leave to begin work on the pulse wave torpidos and the shield 
probe.::

OFF: Will they get done in time? Will the Counselor and Mr. Ford 
become an item? Will Ensign J'Dar ever post? I hope someone comes up 
with the answers in the coming posts.
