When a Vulcan woman was visiting Earth she met William Sage and they had a relationship and when she left she did not know she had become inpregnated. She gave birth to a son whom she named Robert Tiberius Sage and did not contact William. She raised Robert until he was twelve and when he rejected logic for his human emotion and believed logic was used best when not a lifestyle she disowned him and told him of his father on earth. He left vulcan in search of his father.his mothers name is not known because Robert does not like to speak of her. He found William and was welcomed with open arms. Roberts real upbringing was from his father and uncle in Scotland. They were hardworking good men who were funny and happy people. Robert worked as they did and was a bit discriminated by some of the locals but his father and uncle always stood up for him. One day when he was 18 he left for Starfleet Academy.He trained to be a physician and excelled.He was very bright and went into specialty classes for dealing with Borg implants and treating people with them. His father did not like the idea of him being in the service because of the Borg and Dominion threats but was very proud of him all the same as was his uncle. He was stationed at various starbases. Recently his Father contracted a fatal disease and he was given leave to return for the funeral. His newest posting when he returned was the Excalibur.
