Southern Africa 2004:
And so it was... a time not so long ago, a plan was hatched. Let the brave venture to the wilds of South Africa. Before long, South Africa became Southern Africa. The brave became know as the TEN. Even when there was only six of us we thought there was ten for this was the way of the larium, a wondrous drug that enhanced ones view of the world, denied us sleep, memory recall but protected us from Malaria. Anyway, 10 of us rented two Land Rover discoverers with full camping equipment and head off to Cape town for a week followed by a drive up through South Africa and into Namibia as far as Swokomund, then across Namibia, into Botswana to Nata, then upward toward Zimbabwe before driving all the way down through Botswana and South Africa into Jo'Burg before flying out. A lot of ground to cover in three weeks you may think. You'd be thinking right! 'Ass and Bush diaries 2004'!!
