Lieutenant Arbarra had been back on board the USS Dorsetshire for just one day, when the ship was ordered to an old Jem Hadar facility, which produced the soldiers' drug known as Ketracel White. Arbarra had learned quite a lot about the Jem Hadar soldiers, during his brief time on Deep Space 9, and knew how Doctor Bashir had tried to create an antidote to alleviate a group of soldiers' dependency on the drug.
Lieutenant "Scotty" Romaine had ordered Arbarra to oversee the major systems on the ship and ensure everything was working to maximum efficiency. While Arbarra was working on the propulsion systems, Commodore Kahaj, the ship's Captain, asked if Arbarra had heard anything from Scotty or the rest of the Engineering section. Arbarra replied that he hadn't and headed off back to Engineering. Arbarra had not been there long when he discovered the problem. The Engineers had all been transported to a nearby Jem Hadar ship, and Arbarra was immediately taken aboard the ship himself.
Commodore Kahaj, wondering why Engineering did not respond to his calls, took a wander down alone, and found a Founder and some Jem Hadar soldiers altering Engineering systems. He wondered how they got aboard, but did not stop to ask. Following a battle, during which he was injured, he escaped and ordered life support to be switched off in the Engineering section and retreated back to Sickbay.
On the surface of the planet, a crack team led by the Cardassian Garish entered the Ketracel processing plant and got more than they bargained for. Borg were working side by side with assimilated and part assimilated Jem Hadar troops. A new chemical was being produced. The Away Team were forced back, but managed to neutralise the Borg threat. These drones had been separated from the Collective.

Back on board the Jem Hadar ship, the Engineers were being held in a small room, with two Jem Hadar soldiers acting as sentries. The Engineers created a diversion, allowing Arbarra and Scotty to hide in a small service space behind the wall. They temporarily caused a malfunction in the inertial dampeners, and the ship lurched, giving the Engineers the opportunity to overcome their Jem Hadar guards. Arbarra returned from the service space to find some of the Engineers dead, others unconcious. He got his first ever glimpse of the Borg, one of which was busy assimilating unconcious crew members. He managed to overcome the Borg drone, and pulled the breathing Engineers back to the service space.
As he finished pulling them to safety, three more drones entered the room, and once Arbarra was safely inside, Scotty activated a force field to keep the Borg out. One of the Borg was able to pass through the force field, and Scotty recognised the drone as a former Dorsetshire crewmember. Scotty was able to make the drone recognise him, and after a lot of pursuasion, the drone helped the Engineers secure the ship. They went to the Bridge of the Jem Hadar ship, and were able to signal the Dorsetshire.
This was not to be the end of the matter though, as a Borg sphere suddenly materialised between the Jem Hadar ship and the Dorsetshire, and began firing on the planet below. It seemed the Borg Collective wanted to destroy the Ketracel facility and particularly the renegade Borg who were working on the planet surface. Believing the sphere to be a danger to the Away Team on the planet, and the Dorsetshire, Scotty ordered the engineers into the Jem Hadar's ship's escape hatches, setting a course back to the Dorsetshire. He then set a collision course for the sphere before abandoning ship with the Borg ally drone.
In the meantime, a small group of Jem Hadar soldiers had commandeered the Dorsetshire's Runabout, the Huma, and had managed to come aboard the Dorsetshire. They were quickly dealt with by both security and the marines on board the ship, and the Dorsetshire then destroyed the Ketracel facility from space, burying the factory in thousands of tonnes of rubble and earth. With the mission completed, the Dorsetshire headed for a Starbase for repairs and recuperation.
