The Changing of the Guards

These are the guards that stand outside the major public or historical buildings related to the government. They dress in the same garb that the soldiers wore when they defeated the Ottoman Empire to gain their independance, skirts, pompoms and all. The men have to be a cetain height, weight and have a certain look to them. They stand for one hour, every four hours for 16 months as their military service to their country. Every man is required to enter the army at the age of 18.
