This band started out in a little known town in Louisiana. Dax was originally in a band called Golgotha. Then met with the other members of Acid Bath.

The band was fresh out of the garage so to speak. So they made a demo, titled "Hymns of the Needle Freak".

The band soon started getting recognized at little local clubs in Louisiana. And they released there first major record in 1994, Titled "When the Kite String Pops". Which had some songs from the demo. And also, the illustrations are painted by mass murderer John Wayne Gacy. Click this to hear a sample of "Tranquilized" from "When the Kite String Pops" Tranq

The album was on a small record label. And with no radio play, it was hard to spread the word about Acid Bath except for live shows. But word spread very quickly and positively about the band and before long they was selling out everywhere they played. Then in 1996, they released there second album from the Rotten Records label Titled "Paegan Terrorism Tactics" with the artwork of Dr. Jack Kevorkian. in less then a year after releasing there second major record, they took a deathly blow to the band. Bassest Audie Pitre, along with his parents and younger brother was killed in a horrible car accident. As him and his family was driving late one stormy night, a drunk driver hit them head on. Rest in peace Audie, you will be missed.
