Hey! This page is dedicated to my pets, which are 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses.
Here is alittle about my pets:
Banshee: She's an 8 month old Mt. Cur/ Border Collie mix. I got her from my uncle back in September, as well as her sister, Roxie. For those of you who are wondering what a Mt. Cur is, it's a breed of hunting dog that is often used in hurting wild boar or bears. They are known to be VERY protective of their owners and property. Banshee is a very intelligent and loving dog, unless you make her mad and then she lets you know. She should be having puppies soon, so I will have pics of them up later.
Roy: Roy is my big baby. He loves attention and gets spoiled. He's a 2 year old Siberian Husky/Dalmatian mix. He's very affectionate with certain people. He tends to be very shy around strangers. He has the looks of the Dalmatian more than the Husky, but his instincts and attitude tend to point more towards Husky than Dal. He's really just a big baby who wants his belly rubbed, tho.
Catrina: Catrina is an 8 month old kitten that followed me home one day. She is completely blind in one eye, the vets say there is nothing they can do about it. She became very sick when she was very young it seems and she never grew past the size of an 8 week old kitten. Pretty small huh? Well now she's alot bigger and much healthier. She does have a few allergies, but other than that, she's doing very well.
Venus: This is one fuzzy, loving kitty. She's mostly hair, she looks like a walking dustball. *lol* She's even bigger now that she's pregnant. *oh joy, knew we should have got her spayed!* She's about 13 months old now. She was one of the 3 cats we got from Pets Without Parents.
Marmalade: Marmlade is about 14 months old, and has beaten the odds! She had a virus, and barely survived that, and then about 3 months ago she was attacked by a dog and had her leg broken. She's now completely better and doing well. She is still alittle thin, but she's putting on weight daily. We're expecting her to fully recover.
Hobbes: Hobbes is about 14 months old, and was given to us as a "gift" from a relative who no longer wanted him. He's the daddy of Venus' kittens, so they should be some VERY interesting babies. This cat LOVES attention, he gets rather mad when you ignore him. He will stand up on his hind legs and claw at ur hand to get ur attention if you try to ignore him. He's a real character, that's for sure.
Calotta: Calotta is my 14 y/o mare that I have had since she was a yearling. She's large pony/small horse size. She is bad tempered with most people *lol*. She doesn't like to be handled by anyone other than me and sometimes my grandpa, when she's in a good mood. She's not used for riding or anything due to joint and hoof problems. At a young age she foundered *more or less ate too much rich food* and that caused damage to some of her body. She did that before we got her. She tends to be very lively and friendly on her good days, but she's getting older and would just assume lay around and be lazy. She's still not sure she likes my other horse, Xander, very much.
Xander: Xander is a 7 y/o gelding I got as a graduation present from my grandparents. He's about 15 or 15.5 HH. Not very big. He's very possessive over me, and it's not safe for me to bring another guy into the pasture with me. He tends to get very angry and tries to keep himself between me and the guy. He views me as one of his mares in a way and will have no other male around me. He follows me around the pasture, and when I stop, he lays his head on my shoulder and just stands there. As long as it's just me, he's very loving and sweet.
