3/26/04~THE SKATEBOARD MAG

If you have noticed, lately TRANSWORLD magazine, owned by SPORTS ILLISTRATED, has had some weird thing in its pages that might have disturbed you, such as: GOT MILK? ads, ads for hairstyle products, adds for WRANGLER, ect. Well Dave Swift and 8 other people at TRANSWORLD started to get sick and tired of it. All these horrible things were happening and they were "guilty by association". Well Dave and the others decided to pack up there bags and leave. They started an new magazine calle THE SKATEBOARD MAG. It is all TRANSWORLD was and I guess is, just without all the unnecessary crap; their theme is "strictly skateboarding". I recieved the first copy, APRIL 2004, just yesterday free with my order from ACTIVE. The magazine is quite nice, very good quality printing....it looks like a book(of course maybe this is just on the premier issue)! It has many quest writters, even Steve Berra did an article. It is fairly long, 190 pages. All in all, the magazine is dope, and needs to be "peeped".-Devon Kronenberg
