3/24/04~THE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GROUP OF DOOFUSSESS
On Sunday, March 21st Scott, Jim, Ryan, Dion, Jon, and myself decided to go on our second early morning extravaganza! Saturday night and early Sunday morning we all skated the local school by my house, messed around in the CRICKET pavilion (I AM IN DENILE AND WON'T CALL IT FIRST TENNENNESSEE) watched Stephen King movies, ate, and made a bunch of noise. By about 3 oclock, Shawn, Ray, and I had fallen asleep; what the others did is beyond my knowing. 5:00AM: I am woken up by two scalawags jumping on me. "Megh..I don't know about this one guys...I don't feel the hype..." I moaned. But they talked me into getting out of bed...and I am glad I did, because hype fell upon me. Shawn and Ray would not be attending the wonderful jounrney....because they are lazy. We attempted to get ray to accompany us (we drug him down the stairs) but that just resulted in Ryan getting punched in the nose. Ray said he recalls none of this...he must have been sleeping walking. Shawn just didn't want to go. Well after we all stretched up, had a bowl of cereal and toast&jam we headed for the "ghetto gallon". We all bought RED BULLS and chugged them instantly...hype was in the air. We would all bust out on this journey exept for Ryan, who didn't bring his board because of past instances with the Chattanooga Pig Dept., but he got some nice photos. From their on we skated like hell in order to get to the BIJOU room in time for the gnarly sun rise. In case you didn't know, before sunrise, Chattanooga is a complete ghost town...there is no one around. We bombed hills, ollied up sidewalks and periodically waited for Ryan to catch up on foot. When we got to the BIJOU, Scott, Jim, and I took the elevator to the top and the other took the stairs (for some reason, Chattanooga skaters are afriad of elevators). We got some pictures but then a bogus security guard called the cops and kicked us out. After that we skated the Aquarium and AmSouth. I was realy tired and forgot some stuff so mind me. Eventually we made it home and took big naps. Yay for naps. -Devon Kronenberg
