In support of the 2/278th Regimental Combat Team, who will soon be deploying to Iraq, Family Readiness Groups of upper East Tennessee will be selling yellow ribbons, yard signs and baked goods. This fund-raiser will be held Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the following local Wal-Mart locations: West Stone Drive, Kingsport; Volunteer Parkway, Bristol; and West Elk Avenue, Elizabethton. The public is also encouraged to pick up a list of items that can be purchased for care packages to be sent to the troops in 2005. Purchased items can be left in collection boxes in front of each Wal-Mart store.
