Halloween at Grandma's

I can remember when
I was a child in autumn
we would go to grandma's
house over the covered bridge,
trees with red, yellow, orange
and brown colored leaves.
OH, what a sight to see.

We would run around in the woods
finding pine cones and acorns..
Then go pick out pumpkins
and cut out face's on them.
Gathering wood for the fireplace..
Then dress up for halloween
as ghoats,goblins and witches
and go trick or treating!

Grandpa would light
the fireplace for us
and Grandma made hot apple cider.
when we got back.
We would sit around on the
floor and grandpa told us
some stories about
Halloween years ago!

OH, how I loved Halloween
at grandma's house.
The teenager's had fun the night
before with toilet papering
the trees and houses
Some soaped the windows too.
So watch out they don't
do a job on you!!
That was the time of year
I remember so will!
Halloween at Grandma's house!!!!!
