Bagna Cauda

1 pound butter
1/3 cup finely chopped garlic
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 can (2 ounce) anchovies
1/3 cup virgin olive oil

Combine these ingredients into a electric skillet. Let simmer until
anchovies melt.

1 loaf of French or Sourdough Bread sliced and warmed
2 1/2 pound tender beef (sirloin or cross rib roast) or veal - sliced
1 head of cabbage - shredded
1 head cauliflower - broken in flowerets
1 pound button mushrooms - sliced
4 stalks of celery - chopped
2 large zucchini - sliced
or any other vegetables that would cook well in this type of sauce

Add meat and vegetables and cook until done to your liking.
Serve over the warmed, sliced bread.

Serves 6 to 8

Serve with a Merlot.
