Ahoy Mate! If your life has reached flood stage, get aboard the boat, the Master is awake. And he has promised that when we go through the water it will not overflow you. We can't always steer clear of all the floating debris the devil has thrown at us or all the trash that is swirling around us, but we can pray for the waters to crest. There is no need for us to be found doing dead man's float. This is a call for, "All hands on deck!" Living in this world we know storms will come and God will help us weather them or speak peace be still, as the matter requires. Our house is built upon the solid foundation the Rock of our Salvation, Jesus Christ who said," In the world you have tribulation and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer, take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you. There is nothing overtaken us that is not common to man and being experienced by our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are in the world but not of the world, so it is of utmost importance to send the S.O.S. when ever necessary. Our fog horn of prayer is our locator signal, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. So when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord shall deliver him out of them all. God is at work in us to will and do of His good pleasure, so man your stations and hoist your sail, His banner over us is Love. There will be no mutiny here, for our Captain is the Captain of the Host, therefore we endure hardship as good soldiers. God is our ever present help in trouble, our high tower,and our safe refuge, He is at the helm and the rudder is set straight on. He is the light house that shines from coast to coast, ever guiding us through the night. Set sail, stay on course, be not afraid, only believe for all things are possible to those who believe. Renew your mind with the washing of the water of the word. And if this doesn't float your boat then you could draw back, but you may end up like Jonah, with a whale of a tale. Be on the look out for the devil that pirate that came to steal, kill and destroy. Guard your heart with all diligence and keep laying up your treasure in heaven. Don't suppress that unction from the Holy One or reject your conscience, for this will shipwreck your faith. Set sail for the land that flows with milk and honey. Batten down the hatches and tighten that life preserver, hold fast to your profession of faith without wavering until you hear the cry "Land Ho!!!" Then you will know it is time to go in and possess the land the Lord has given to us.
