Philip H. Wicksteed introduced the production function in 1894: "The product being a function of the factors of production we have P = f(a,b,c,...)." Wicksteed did not state the nature of the factors in his production function. In 1910, Wicksteed published, "Common Sense of Political Economy", in which he attempted to import Austrain ideas into British economics.
