Maurice Allais

Maurice Allais is an economics professor at the Ecole National Superieure des Mines de Paris and a research director at the National French Research Council.

He won the Nobel Prize in economics in 1988 for his contribution in the areas of market behavior and the efficient use of resources. He helped to revive the quantity theory of money and discovered "Allais Paradox", which deals with how people behave when choosing between various risks.
