My Little Boys Christmas
Quite a few years ago on Christmas when my little boy was only three years old he was unwrapping his Christmas presents when he looked up at me with his big brown eyes and said,"Santa Claus sure does bring good things don't he Mom?" As I reached down to pull him in my lap I then explained to him that it was Jesus that brought good things from above, and for this we needed to be thankful every day not only on Christmas. His eyes lit up with anticipation as he then looked up and thanked Jesus for everything that he had received. Some people thought that I should not have told my son at such an early age that there was truly no Santa Claus, but the truth is we do not need to give praise for someone that doesn't exist, but instead teach our children that Christ is the giver of all things good! Now my son is eighteen years old, and now teaching others how important it is to give thanks to God! So give your praise, honor, and glory to the one that it belongs to. . . . Our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ!!
