John was one of the nicest guys I met while I was in Scotland. John is a BMW addict as his page will attest too. He the only guy I know that will admit to being a nerd.
When John would come to the flat in Aberdeen to visit he and Jan would invaribly end up discussing computers and the technology involved in the oil industry. The two of them would sit for hours like this.

The computer talk I could handle as I am always willing to learn more, but the technolgy that goes into building the ROV's was just too much for my wee brain and sometimes John would try to change the subject to computers so that I could be involved also. John helped me edit the first page I did by myself and when Jan and Stephen crashed the computer it was John that helped reinstall the programs.
