Players
2+ (depending on how many decks you use)
Decks
1 deck for 2 players; 2 decks for 3-4 players; 3 decks for 5-6 players; 4 decks for 7-9 players; 5 decks for 10-12.
Setting Up
Take out all aces and jokers from the deck you’re using. Shuffle the deck well. Deal alternatively 3 cards to each player in a pile, then in a different pile deal 2 cards, then in a different pile deal 3 cards, continue like this until you run out of cards (you may have to discard some of the last cards if they can’t be distributed evenly among everyone in 2 or 3 piles). Take 3 piles of your choice and place them in an upper row. Take the rest of the piles and place them all in the bottom row. The top cards are called attackers, the bottom are your base. Decide who goes first by whom is left of the dealer, and it continues right (so the dealer is next).
Winning the Game
Be the only player left with cards.
Playing the Game
Attacking
You can attack your opponent’s attackers with your attackers. When you attack, line up your 2 or 3 cards according to largest to smallest (Kings are the highest, twos are the smallest). Your largest attacks your opponent’s largest, and so on to your weakest against his weakest. Whoever has the highest on each one of the matches stays and the other one’s card is removed. If there is a tie, both cards are removed. You can only attack 4 times per turn.
Other
If a whole pile is destroyed at any time, you must bring a pile of 2 or 3 to the attacking spot. That means there is always 3 attacking units at the top row. When someone has a pile of three attacking a pile of 2, any two of his cards can be added up together (except face cards, you can only add number cards together) as one card (Jacks are 11, Queens are 12, Kings are 13). When a pile of 2 or 3 is attacking a pile of 1, all of the cards are added together (no matter if it’s a face card or not) against the pile of 1. After you defeat a player completely (they have no cards left), your turn is ended, no matter what.
Reinforcing
If there is only one card in one of your attacking spots, you may bring a whole pile of twos from your base to the pile of one to make a pile of three. You can only have a maximum of three cards in a pile at any time.
