December 26, 1996 (The day after Christmas) - Interior cleaned out.  Car comes with three spare rims (two with wheels), two extra
seats, bundle of chrome for about four other VWs cars and a mismash of
other greasy vw car engine parts. However, parts missing or broken
when checked: Missing -carb, voltage regulator, oil filter ???,
outside mirror, antenna. Broken: turn signal indicator. Not bad
for a "weed sitter" of 15 years. Two tires are
flat by the time car gets off roll-back, same tires sitting for 15 years, amazing other two held air. Two of the rims a original and stored inside with original paint on rims. Later, I discover two other rims in grandmother's basement, also in great shape. I stick an original tire also found in basement on and it holds air.
Wintertime - Bug Car sits in garage gathering dust, occassional work
is started and stopped, but garage is too tight to do much, I was
waiting for warmer weather to roll car outside.
