Right from the beginning we learn that Nina is a Silent Assassin sent from the country of Ireland. Although it wouldn't be until later that we learn her alternative motive(s) for joining the tournament. She learned assassination techniques from her father and those of aikido for self protection from her mother, therefore she has an outstanding fighting sense. She was sent to assassinate Heihachi Mishima, the sponsor of the tournament. |

Somehow, though vaguely explained, Nina failed at her attempt to assassinate Heihachi Mishima, but duing the second tournament she was once again sent to the Iron Fist Tournament but this time to assassinate Kazuya Mishima, Heihachi's son. But this time around we learn the main reason Nina took the job. It's to finally settle the long battle with her sister, Anna. We learn this time that she and Anna have had a rivalry that dates back to when their parents were killed. |

In the last tournament, Nina was ordered to assassinate Kazuya Mishima, but an untimely quarrel with her sister Anna prevented such an event. Shortly thereafter, both sisters were captured by Kazuya's corps and were used as guinea pigs in Doctor Bosconovitch's Cold Sleep No. 2 experiment, which put them to sleep for 15 years. In a bold move, Heihachi's private corps, the Tekken Forces, went to the sacred burial site of the God of Fighting and excavated it. This unearthing unleashed its spirit which awakened Nina's resting soul. Now controlled entirely byt the God of Fighting, Nina robotically follows the commandto assassinate Jin Kazama, the son of Kazuya.
