Something To Believe In
With smiles and hopes and wishes and fears
Desires and passions and dreams that appear
Deep in the night, in the calm of the dark
I hear the voice of love that embraces my heart
With reason and being seeming so hard to hold
Faith is the raft that keeps the soul afloat
Dreamers can dream, but no promises are made
For your past was unknown, and your future is the same
Believers are the ones who know in their minds
Time is the only true answer we will ever find
With patience and forgiveness, understanding, and hope
Love will be, forever, the captive of the soul.
