- Played tennis in West Orange (beat Lyle 6-0,6-0) then spent the afternoon doing errands. Came home and watched TV, ordered dinner from BBQ and worked on loger.net.

- Productive day of work and then went to the gym for a bit before meeting Courtney and Christian for pool in Chelsea.

- Met Carol for drinks and dinner after Lyle's appointment got canceled.

- Sent an email by accident to my boss which was not intended for her. :) Mama & Earl arrived home in Tennessee. Relaxed at home in the evening and finally watched the BB3 finale.

- 106.7 concert with Lyle and Aimee. Ran into Ed Fry (ex-AW & ATWT) outside handing out flyers for Keep Radio NY Live. Concert was good with Kenny Loggins, Lonestar, Jewel, Bonnie Raitt and James Taylor. Susan Sarandon also made an appearance to introduce Bonnie Raitt.

- Went to the gym after work and then went to week 2 of the pool league (lost 5 games to 4).

- Falcons off day so I watched the games at home. Lyle made a great beef brisket for dinner.

- Woke up to some box shipping drama but managed to get everything shipped by 10:30am. Mama, Earl and I had brunch with Susan and Bev at Coco's by the airport. Mama and Earl left for TN in EJacK around 12:30. Bev made me a great goodbye tape and we listened in Susan's car. Bev dropped me off at the airport in Oakland and I flew back on Jet Blue, arriving around 11pm into NYC.

- Went into work for a couple of hours then came home and took Mama and Earl to Flames for breakfast. Got an oil change at Jiffy Lube and then went home to relax and start packing up. Kayla and Kevin came over in the evening and we hung out and had a great time.

- Good day at work in Newark as everyone seemed happy to see me after being gone for a few weeks. Went home and cleaned up a bit then picked Mama and Earl up from the San Jose airport around 10:45.

- Car service never showed up to take me to Newark, NJ airport so I took a taxi. Pretty empty flight on United like always lately. Got a car service to drive me down to San Jose.

- First night of our pool league which runs until January. I won my match 5 games to 1. Lyle won 5 games to 2.

- Watched the early games at home since the Falcons were on in prime time. Wall papered the bathroom in the afternoon. Watched the Falcons beat up on the Bengals 30-3 on ESPN.
7/28/01
- We woke up around 10 and called Kat and they were already back home (nerds!). We had breakfast at the hotel then went shopping before driving back down the South Bay. Stopped by Verizon, Tower and Whole Foods then came home. We relaxed for a while then Lyle barbequed chicken for us for dinner. Then we drove to SFO and I went inside with Lyle and stayed until he had to get on the plane.
7/27/01
- Went to the Bank of the West Classic with Lyle in Palo Alto. We ate
ice cream bars and
practiced serving before the match. My fastest serve was 83 MPH and
Lyle's was 70 MPH. We
then watched Venus Williams beat Lisa Raymond and Anna Kournikova came
out to announce
she was injured and couldn't play. After the match, we drove to SF and
checked into the Holiday
Inn and had a not so great snack at Togo's (for me) and Thai (for
Lyle). Then we met Kat, Stacy
and Michell for dinner at Frenzy by Night. We took a town car there not
knowing it was only a
few blocks from our hotel. We had a nice dinner then went back to our
hotel to rest and then
went to a dive bar across from Bimbo's, where the girls were hanging
out. We played pool and
cards while listening to the jukebox. We met up with the girls and went
dancing at the Starlite
where we got harrassed by an overbearing photographer. We stopped by
their luxurious room
for a bit then went back to our hotel and called it a night.

- Left at 4:30 for the airport. Slept most of the way on the plane. Went straight to work after arriving back in Oakland. By the time I got home, Kevin had already left for Canada.

- Didn't get much sleep and didn't feel like eating. De picked me up at the GW Bridge and took me to Riverside Square Mall. Liz and I ate dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and then went to FDU to watch Anne perform in The Vagina Monologues. She was fabulous and I enjoyed the show a lot.

- Went to see Guenia Lemos' play, LEXY, which I thought was great. Took some pictures with her after the show. Dinner at John's Pizza. Saw Lar Park Lincoln in my hotel lobby. Went exploring NYC for karaoke bars.

- Explored the city, went to Rockefeller Center. Went to The Niagaras show in the evevning at Rodeo Bar and then to Telephone Bar later.

- Arrived at JFK around 7:30am and made it into Manhattan by 9:30. Spent the day walking around the city and shopping. Went to Blondie's for a police benefit that evening with a group of Liz's friends. Had a total blast.

- Orthodontist appointment. He said I will get my braces off in six months. Busy day at work. Theron is out sick. Stopped by McCarthy ranch on the way home from work.

- Woke up around 5am. Stopped by Raley's and got to work at 6:30. Had meetings in the morning and afternoon. Lunch with Theron at Chili's. My first ballroom dancing lesson after work. I learned the Rumba and part of the Cha Cha. Dinner with Theron at Texas Roadhouse. Came home, watched my soap and went to sleep.

- Got to work at 6am. Had three hours of meetings in the morning. Lunch with Theron at Yuka Sushi. Flex Office meeting in the afternoon (we'll all be "unassigned" by the end of May). Stopped by KFC on the way home. Finally caught up on my soap.

- Slept in and came into work late. Scanned my holiday and Reno pictures and updated my website.

- We checked out of the hotel and drove to Boomtown where we had the buffet and then played more video games (I did well at fishing and Theron killed me in Tennis). We then headed for home but it was snowing pretty hard. We were going bumper to bumper for a long time and were going about one mile per hour. We finally reached the point where we were forced to buy chains so we paid $70 for new chains and to have them installed. We slowly made our way through the snow and in Nyack attempted to take off the chains, but couldn't. We paid this guy $10 to take them off for us. It was cold and snowy, but it was also funny. We played a game to pass the time. We stopped at Jack in the Box in Dixon for dinner and then drove back to Theron's place. It took about 9 hours to get there and then another 45 minutes for me to drive home. It was a long day, but an awesome weekend. I'm glad I met Theron who is becoming a great friend to me.
1/20/01
- Woke up fairly early and Theron and I went to the mall. We shopped and talked and then went back to our hotel. We entered a Joker's Wild tournament and then went to the spa again and relaxed. We then drove to Circus Circus where the slots were loose and the arcade was packed. We both won stuffed animals and I seemed to excel at the horse racing game. Theron won by busting a balloon with a dart. We played roulette and lost and blackjack and I won about $130. We decided to do karaoke that night so we killed some time and Harrah's and then showed up at West 2nd Street Bar at 9:30 to start singing. I sang "Amarillo by Morning" and "Where I Come From" and Theron sang "I Swear". There was a 50 year old guy trying to hit on all the young girls and we watched and laughed as he struck out. We went home around midnight but stayed up late talking.
1/19/01
- Woke up feeling a little sick. We had breakfast and then drove downtown and went to a few casinos (Cal-Neva, Harrah's [where I did my football bet which I lost], El Dorado and Silver Legacy). We then came back to our hotel and went hot-tubbing in the spa. It was very relaxing except for the old guy who thought he was in a swimming pool and was splattering everyone by kicking. After the spa, we chilled out and then took a cab to the BuBinga Lounge. It was lame and all these 40-something women were trying to pick me up. We took another taxi down to the Stock Exchange, which played awesome music. We danced and danced the night away. There was one really strange guy dancing by himself all night but mostly cool people. We then took at cab to Jack in the Box and back to the hotel.
1/18/01
- Busy day and a long afternoon meeting. Left work at 5 and had dinner with Theron at Texas Roadhouse. I then followed him to his place and we left in my car for Reno. Traffic was bad getting to and through Sacramento. We sang silly "Rebecca" songs and finally arrived just before midnight. We checked into the Atlantis Hotel and Casino which took a while thanks to Marty, the elderly check-in clerk. We went to the Atlantis Nightclub which turned out to be lame. We were the only two dancing at some point. We gambled and had a fun night. Played my favorite game, Wheel of Fortune, and found out some new stuff about each other.

- Got up at 2am to call Delta and found out my 5:35am flight was cancelled. Rescheduled for late afternoon. That flight was delayed so I ended up flying on American. Met a cool guy named David from San Diego on the flight from Nashville to Dallas. Got home around 11pm.

- Had lunch with Deborah McFall in downtown Nashville. Ran into her husband Jeff at Kinko's a little later. Visited Joe and Derek that evening.
