Pinion Family Tree
The Pinion family has been a difficult one to research, there are some name variations that you have to watch for, and some seemed to settle away from other Pinion families. Lewis Pinion is the first one I start with on this line, he and his wife appeared to have an interesting relationship.
Why??? There is only a marriage record that puts them together. The next census 9 years later, he is in Obion County and she is in Dyer County. There appears to be no divorce record that has been found to date. There are several children and a couple of them were not raised by Lewis. One son Fred went with his mother, the other son Sid was raised by MARTIAN'S.... I have not found where he was, he was possibly raised by a Dr's family, someone else said someone by the name of Peoples, Peebles??? something along that line. Have not found him yet. I first find him in 1900.
Much research and verification must be done to get beyond Lewis Pinion. I have a few suspicions. I need more proof!!!

Sidney Pinion b. September 1871 in Gibson County, Tennessee d. 1963 in Hickman County, Kentucky. He married October 28, 1894 in Obion County, Tennessee to Mary Lorance b. February 1878 in Dallas, Texas d. May 07, 1957 in Hickman County, Kentucky.
Fred Monroe Pinion b. March 07, 1874 in Gibson County, Tennessee d. 1963 in Obion County, Tennessee. He married December 25, 1900 Obion County, Tennessee to Ida Jane Hamblin b. January 12, 1883 in Obion County, Tennessee d. June 24, 1948 in Obion County, Tennessee
Bennett Cabot Pinion b. February 16, 1876 in Obion County, Tennessee d. December 12, 1962 in Belleville, Illinois. He married September 27, 1908 in Rector, Clay County, Arkansas to Ina Belle Coonce
These 2 children I am not sure which mother belongs to which. I think that Harvey is son of Mary Pinion but is listed as son of Lewis Pinion in 1900 and after that son of Mary in future census.
Harvey Pinion b. 1895 d. July 1942 in Fulton County, Kentucky
This child is listed in Tempi's obituary as a daughter to her. I am assuming her last name is Pinion.
Ella Owen
It was suggested that she might very well be Ella Overall, child from Tempi's 1st marriage to Edmund Overall.
